About Us

ARNPEI is governed by a 13 member Council: 11 elected Registered Nurses (President, President Elect, Vice President and 8 Councillors) and two appointees including a public representative and a student representative.

ARNPEI is a member of the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).  CNA is a national federation representing and speaking on behalf of the nursing profession both nationally and internationally.  ARNPEI's current President, Marilyn Barrett, is a voting member of the CNA Board of Directors.  Through CNA, ARNPEI is represented on the International Council of Nurses (ICN).

ARNPEI employs three full time staff to carry out the day to day operations of the Association.
